Android 11 for Motorola one power

Android 11 is rolling out to many devices this year.Soon we’re gonna see android 12 too.Motorola one power many users has an expectation that motorola will provide android 11 update for motorola one power but no it is not going to happen because as motorola promised it has got 2 major updates and it will receive monthly security patches till this september.

So it’s obvious that motorola one power will not get any official android 11 update.

But you can enjoy Android 11 on Motorola one power through some custom roms. I’m going to share one of the custom roms which is stable and with little to no bugs.

The custom rom is Pixel experience–

Pixel experience is an AOSP based custom rom with Gapps included and some pixel features including launcher,wallpapers,boot animation,icons and fonts.

You can download this from the official website of pixel experience

There are 2 versions available, one is pixel experience which is pure stock android with very low customisation options and other is plus edition with lots of customizations and even we get face unlock option.

Choose one based on your interest,let’s get into the installation process.

To install pixel experience all you need is-

• Your device bootloader should be unlocked
• You must have a custom recovery(TWRP) installed on your device or you can use a temporary recovery image to boot into TWRP.Download twrp from official site-TWRP for Motorola one power(chef)
• Pixel experience file in sd card or otg drive.

Unlock bootloader of Motorola one power

To unlock bootloader follow the instructions given in a official motorola website-Unlock bootloader 

You pc should have Motorola drivers and Minimal adb and fastboot drivers installed.

Enable usb debugging and OEM unlocking in developer options before unlocking bootloader.

TWRP for Motorola one power(chef)

You can install TWRP recovery by flashing twrp recovery image through CMD.

First download the recovery image from the official site of TWRP and transfer it to the adb folder.

Then boot your device into fastboot mode by holding volume down(-) and power button together.

After booting into fastboot mode connect your device to pc.

Now open cmd in the adb folder(make sure that you have enabled usb debugging after unlocking the bootloader)and follow these commands.

• fastboot devices 

Then it will read your device and type these command

• fastboot boot <recovery image file name>.img

You can rename the recovery(which you have downloaded from twrp website) image as per your convenience but make sure to type the same in command.

Then your phone boots to recovery.

After all setup then install rom.

Pixel experience for  motorola one power(chef)

Download the official pixel experience zip file and transfer it to sd card or you can also use otg.

In TWRP tap wipe

Then Advanced wipe

Select dalvik,data,system and you can also wipe internal storage

Then go back and tap on install or you can reboot to recovery after wiping and then tap on install

Select storage to sd card or otg as you prefer

Then select the zip file and swipe to flash

After finished reboot the system(tap on do not install if it is showing option to install twrp as a system app)

Now your device is ready.
